In 2018, parties were accused of embezzling money from women to men or for other purposes, circumventing the female quota. This year, the suspicion is that the practice may also reach black candidates. One of the main cases, revealed by Folha, was that of the Minister of Tourism, Marcelo Álvaro Antônio (PSL-MG), who was indicted and denounced by the scheme.
