F. C. Porto was the club that most exported to England, but Benfica is the leader, for now, in the profit table
The facts tell us that no non-Portuguese-speaking foreign country had such a close connection with Portugal as England. Footballally speaking, the English bet on Portuguese clubs is not as old as the history that unites the two countries, but it is already becoming a tradition: with the transfer of Rúben Dias from Benfica to Manchester City, English clubs have already invested something like € 995.755 million in Portuguese League players over the past 20 years.
