Von der Leyen starts first official visit to Portugal

Ursula Von der Leyen arrives with the promise that Portugal will be an “important beneficiary” of the recovery fund.

Ursula von der Leyen lands this Monday in Lisbon, for an official visit, to the Council of State, the first time that this organ again has face-to-face meetings, after confinement.

But, this Monday, the President of the European Commission has scheduled a visit to the Ricardo Jorge Institute, and at the Champalimaud Foundation, in Lisbon, alongside the Prime Minister, António Costa, will present Portugal’s recovery plans and the the European Union.
