The Government will proceed with the installation of more than 800 video surveillance cameras in public spaces. Among them are alleys and sleepers, as well as the beach of Hac Sa.
This is what can be seen in today’s Official Bulletin, which lists the locations of the 800 new video surveillance cameras that the Executive will spread throughout the city and also the areas that each of these cameras will be able to film.
According to the document, the new devices of the program known as “Olhos no Céu” will appear in alleys like Rosa’s or Sal’s, but also on sleepers or sidewalks that show what is happening not only there, but also in alleys nearby.
Two years ago, the Executive had said that he wanted to place cameras in places described as “isolated” or “with security risks”, and the work has been carried out.
