The charm and historical value attract visitors from almost as many parts of the world as Disneyland.
Nixon’s visit to China ended the 25 years of diplomatic silence between the two countries. It came to change the rest of the world forever, officially starting Sino-American relations. It was the most important moment in Nixon’s career as president, marking a major shift in the rivalry between the US and the Soviet Union.
