At 88, a British artist fell victim to complications from Parkinson’s disease
British actor Ian Holm, known for playing Bilbo in “The Lord of the Rings” and Ash in “Alien, The Eighth Passenger”, died at the age of 88 on Friday (19). The actor’s agent confirmed the news to The Guardian, citing Parkinson’s complications as the cause of death.
“He died peacefully in the hospital, with his family and his caregiver. Ian was charming, kind and talented, and we’re going to miss him a lot, ”wrote the agent.
