Derek Chauvin, a former police officer accused of killing George Floyd, even if he is convicted, according to US CNN reports, could receive more than $ 1 million during his retirement years.
Since last month, Chauvin has been the target of national fury after images of him kneeling on Floyd’s neck appear, which he repeated: “I can’t breathe”.
After the incident, he was fired and, amid national protests, he was accused of second-degree murder. Three other agents involved in the approach to Floyd have also been fired and face criminal charges.
