The Greater Lisbon region had the highest number of new cases of Covid-19.
The growth of new cases of covid-19 in the region of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo is due to the adoption of an intensive screening strategy, with 14 thousand tests in the last days, justified this Saturday the Minister of Health.
Speaking during the press conference to present the epidemiological bulletin of the balance sheet of the infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, Marta Temido assumed that the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has “consistently represented about 70% of the daily number of new cases reported in the country ”, mainly concentrated in the municipalities of Amadora, Loures, Lisbon, Odivelas and Sintra.
