Knowing that the doctors and nurses were returning to Shanghai on Monday, the 87-year-old senior used music to pay homage and gratitude to professionals from Shanghai Zhongshan Hospital.
Formerly a violinist with the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra, he played “Meditation” by French composer Jules Massenet while standing next to his hospital bed as he has mostly recovered from novel coronavirus infection, according to a video shot by medics from Zhongshan Hospital.
