Portugal: Ambulance with two occupants catches fire on the A4 near Mirandela

No injuries were reported, but the vehicle was completely destroyed by the flames

An ambulance for non-urgent patient transport belonging to a private company from Macedo de Cavaleiros caught fire on Tuesday morning while travelling on the A4 motorway (the Transmontana motorway), at kilometre 143, in the direction of Mirandela/Lamas de Orelhão.

No injuries were reported, but the vehicle was completely destroyed by the flames, according to Mirandela fire brigade commander Luís Carlos.
