US President Donald Trump confirmed today that he asked FIFA leader Gianni Infantino to re-evaluate the red card shown to American forward Folarin Balogun so that he can play in the match against Belgium.
“I asked for a re-evaluation because I didn’t think it was a foul,” Trump declared during a White House event.

The President of the United States also considered the rules regarding red cards to be unfair and classified the referee’s performance during the match between the United States and Bosnia and Herzegovina as “very doubtful.”
Trump on Balogun: “I saw the play, and I’m a person that loves sports … that wasn’t a foul. That wasn’t even an infraction … this referee, who is a little bit suspect if you check his past.
