Tehran has rejected a United States peace plan, according to an unnamed government official cited by Iranian state television.

“Iran responded negatively to the American proposal,” said Press TV, referring to an alleged 15-point plan drawn up by the administration of Donald Trump.

“The war will end when Iran decides to end it, not when Trump decides,” the official added, according to the broadcaster.

Shortly before, Pakistan announced it had delivered the US proposal to Iran, which reportedly includes demands such as ending Tehran’s support for regional allies like Hezbollah and Hamas.

On Monday, Tehran said it had received messages from “some friendly countries” regarding a US request to start negotiations to end the war, according to the official news agency IRNA.

The plan surfaced after The New York Times and Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the Trump administration had drawn up a set of demands to end the conflict with Iran.

According to unnamed sources cited by Channel 12, US negotiators — special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner — proposed a one-month ceasefire to allow Iranian authorities time to assess the conditions.

Washington’s demands reportedly include Iran abandoning nuclear weapons ambitions, handing over enriched fuel, dismantling key nuclear facilities, and halting support for regional militias. Limits on missile capabilities and ensuring that the Strait of Hormuz remains open to shipping are also part of the proposal.

In return, Iran would receive relief from international sanctions and support for its civilian nuclear program.

The White House and the US Department of State have not confirmed the reports.
