Former U.S. President Bill Clinton stated today before a congressional committee that he “did nothing wrong” in his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and that he never witnessed any signs of abuse by the convicted sex offender.
“I saw nothing and did nothing wrong,” the former Democratic president (1993–2001) said in his opening statement before the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, part of the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, as shared on the social media platform X.
As someone who grew up in a home with domestic abuse, not only would I not have flown on his plane if I had any inkling of what he was doing—I would have turned him in myself and led the call for justice for his crimes, not sweetheart deals. pic.twitter.com/0rX8cat5Pu

“Even in hindsight, I saw nothing that raised any red flags,” Clinton reiterated before the committee, which is dominated by Republican lawmakers.
He also reaffirmed that he distanced himself from Epstein more than a decade before Epstein’s death in a federal prison in New York in August 2019.
