Among them, there were 163,000 passengers, including more than 85,000 inbound passengers, who mainly crossed through the Gobei Border, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Port, and the Hengqin Port.

Hengqin Border Inspection Station predicted earlier that the peak of passenger flow at the Hengqin Port during the Spring Festival holiday would be concentrated on the third, fourth, and fifth days of the New Year (January 19 to 21), with passenger traffic expected to exceed 1.3 million people on the third and fourth days.

The Public Security Police Force predicted earlier that during the Lunar New Year holiday period from the 28th day of the last month of the lunar year to the 7th day of the new month (February 15 to 23), a total of 6 million to 6.21 million people would enter and exit the country over the nine-day period, averaging more than 670,000 people per day. It is expected that the third day of the new year will be the peak period for entry and exit, with approximately 780,000 people.

According to the Tourism Bureau, the number of visitors this year, compared to last year’s Spring Festival Golden Week (January 28 to February 4), when Macau recorded nearly 1.31 million inbound tourists, averaging nearly 164,000 (163,696) per day, showed a slight decrease of 3.5% compared to the average daily visitor volume during the 2024 Spring Festival Golden Week, but has recovered to levels close to those of the 2019 Spring Festival Golden Week (171,702).

The number of inbound tourists continued to rise from Lunar New Year’s Day to the third day (January 29 to January 31), with the fourth day of the holiday period, the third day of the lunar new year (January 31), recording over 219,000 inbound tourists.
