The Portuguese Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion, Manuel Castro Almeida, met in Macau with the leadership of CESL Asia to explore new opportunities for cooperation in logistics, infrastructure and sustainability.
In the private meeting, the Portuguese official met with the company’s President and CEO, António Trindade, and the Group’s COO, Roland Schoorl. The encounter, described as cordial and productive, focused on Portugal’s potential contribution to the development of global logistics and industrial infrastructure, as well as the implementation of innovative and sustainable solutions in renewable energy and agriculture in Portugal.
To follow up on the discussions, Manuel Castro Almeida proposed holding another meeting in Lisbon by the end of this month, with the participation of other relevant entities.
Accompanying the Minister were Philòmene Dias, Director of AICEP – Portugal’s Trade and Investment Agency, along with Nuno Lima Leite and Bernardo Pinho, heads of AICEP’s representation in Beijing and Macau.
