Secretary for Transport orders probe into DSAT following audit report

The Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Raymond Tam Vai Man, has announced that he has ordered an internal investigation into the Transport Bureau (DSAT) following a report by the Commission of Audit highlighting failures in the oversight of special taxis.

The Commission of Audit accuses the DSAT of failing to properly monitor the special taxi service and of undermining the public interest.

Tam Vai Man stated that he had instructed the launch of an internal investigation, stressing that he places great importance on the irregularities identified in the audit report, and emphasised that the DSAT takes full responsibility for what occurred.
