Kremlin declares total truce in Ukraine from May 8 to 10

Vladimir Putin has ordered a complete cessation of hostilities for “humanitarian reasons” by Victory Day on May 9.

The Russian presidency on Monday declared a full truce in Ukraine from May 8 to 10 as Russia celebrates Victory Day over Nazi Germany. The truce will begin at midnight on May 8 (10pm on May 7 in Lisbon) and will last until May 10.

According to the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a complete cessation of hostilities for “humanitarian reasons” by Victory Day on May 9.
