“This action is disproportionate. The number of civilian deaths is unbearable”

The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, acknowledged this Monday the European Union's concern regarding the turn of events in the Gaza Strip. Josep Borrell considers that the performance of Israeli troops is beyond acceptable and questions whether “there is any way” to reduce the number of victims.

“Even the United States, which is Israel’s strongest supporter, considered, in the words of President Biden himself, that this action is disproportionate, that the number of people killed, of civilians killed, is unbearable, and warned Israel not to continue like that”, highlighted Borrell, leaving some questions that, in his opinion, would need to be answered.

“Beyond words, what else do you think should be done? If the number of deaths is considered to be too high, is there any possibility of reducing it?”, he asked.
