Inter Milan came closer today to reaching the final of the Champions League after beating AC Milan by 2-0 in the first leg of the semi-finals.
Bosnian Edin Dzeko (8 minutes) and Armenian Henrikh Mkhitaryan (11) scored the goals for the three-time European champion, who eliminated FC Porto and Benfica in the previous rounds and is looking for the sixth final of the most important European club competition.
The second leg is scheduled for Tuesday, with AC Milan, seven times European champions, trying to turn around to reach the 12th final, the first since 2006/07.
