“We are developing a line of unmanned aircraft, which is especially important under current conditions. These are tactical drones. I mean, all those that are not launched from airfields. This is our niche,” Alán Lushnikov said on state television.
He pointed out that the drones manufactured by Kalashnikov performed “very well” in the context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which is why the company intends to “increase production and develop new” models.
In August, Lushnikov assured that the company would focus on the production of Lancet and Kub suicide drones, but not increase production of other devices.
Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin assured that every platoon of the Russian Army must have a drone to fight the “enemy” in Ukraine, whose territory has been bombed in recent months by the Russian Federation with devices produced in countries like Iran.
