New bombings leave several parts of Kiev without electricity

Russia launched dozens of missiles at Ukraine in the early hours of Monday, Ukrainian officials confirmed. Despite air defense systems, several power infrastructures in the capital Kiev were hit, leaving hundreds of thousands of residents without electricity.

“An area of Kiev is without electricity and certain areas without water after the Russian attacks,” wrote Vitali Klitschko, mayor of Kiev, on the social network Telegram.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy also condemns yet another missile attack against the country. “Rather than fighting on the battlefield, Russia fights civilians,” says Dmytro Kuleba on Twitter. “Russia does this because it still has the missiles and the will to kill the Ukrainians,” he added.
