Max Verstappen wins Mexican GP and becomes record-breaking wins in one season

Dutch driver Max Verstappen (Red Bull) won the Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix yesterday and became the driver with the most wins in the same season, with 14 wins.

Verstappen, who led from the start, finished the 71 laps with 15.186 seconds ahead of Britain’s Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and 18.097 over his teammate, Mexican Sérgio Pérez (Red Bull).

With this result, the already champion reaches 416 points, setting a new maximum in Formula 1 history, beating the 413 set by Lewis Hamilton in 2019.
