“Ukraine is under missile attack. There is information about attacks in many cities in our country,” Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy chief of the president’s office, said on social media, urging the population to “stay in shelters”.
“Unfortunately, there are dead and injured. Please do not leave the shelters”, added Volodymyr Zelensky later. “Be careful and protect your loved ones. We will endure and be strong”, stressed the president of Ukraine, accusing Russia of wanting to “cleanse us [Ukrainians] from the face of the Earth.”
According to Kiev police, there are at least five dead and 12 injured.
