Almost 14.4 million Angolans are called to vote in the general elections this Wednesday, a process considered not very transparent by the opposition, but which the Government believes and considers to be exemplary.
The two favourites, the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA, in power) and the National Union for the Independence of Angola (UNITA) are expected to share the overwhelming majority of the 220 seats of the National Assembly and, according to the Constitution, the first two of the national list of the most voted party will automatically be President and Vice President of the country.
