The 2022 World Cup should start a day earlier, several international communication agencies advance this Wednesday.
According to the same information, the match between the host team, Qatar, and Ecuador, initially scheduled for 16:00 on Monday, November 21, will be moved to Sunday. The reason is that, playing on the date initially scheduled, the host country will not play in the first match of the World Cup [previously Senegal-Holland would play at 20:00 and England-Iran at 13:00].
The original plan was for the opening ceremony to take place before Qatar’s November 21 game against Ecuador, which led to the unusual situation of two games being played before the ceremony, which normally takes place before the kick-off of the first competition game.
