Guinea-Bissau has the most covid-19 infections, with 1,389 cases, registering 12 deaths.
The director of the hospital in Cumura, on the outskirts of Bissau, Jamila Bathy, lamented the “avoidable and unnecessary death” of a 22-year-old girl due to lack of oxygen in that hospital.
The Cumura hospital, about 10 kilometers from Bissau, is one of the health units that receives patients infected with covid-19, in addition to the Simão Mendes National Hospital, in the Guinean capital.
