BNU and ICBC signed a deal to promote business between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries
Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU) has been part of Macao’s financial life for 118 years, maintaining an active role in the social and economic development of the territory, supporting local business activities.
The knowledge and experience gained has been essential for the success of its clients’ projects and businesses in areas as diverse as tourism, retail trade, manufacturing, transport, construction, public services and international trade . and ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China) is currently the largest bank located in Macau, with extensive networks of branches and subsidiaries, advanced technology and a wide variety of financial products and services to offer.
This collaboration aims to develop Macau as a strategic and privileged financial point, where cross-border business between entrepreneurs and Portuguese-speaking companies can converge, feeding the bridge between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries.
The creation of the Strip and Route, the Greater Bay Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau (GBA), which integrates 11 cities, together with the consolidation of Macau, reveals a great attraction for this region, arousing interest in various entrepreneurial activities in several sectors.
Taking into account the difficult circumstances (COVID-19) that affected these regions is is expected the coming months or years to be adverse to the desired situation, but there is also a period of adaptation, where there is the opportunity to adjust strategies and plan in the long term, which may prove to be beneficial.
