U.S. President Donald Trump insisted today that negotiations are underway to reach an agreement on the war launched jointly with Israel against Iran, which he said has “a very big gift” to offer Washington.
“What I said yesterday [Monday] is absolutely true. We are in negotiations right now,” Trump told reporters at the White House.

The U.S. leader indicated that his envoy Steve Witkoff, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are involved in the dialogue process, which has so far been denied by Tehran.
In his remarks, Trump said Iran has “a very big gift” for the United States, related to hydrocarbons and “equivalent to a lot of money.”
