The US president today extended the deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, stating that Washington will suspend attacks on power plants for five days.
The announcement was made just hours before the ultimatum deadline, set on Sunday, which was due to expire at 23:44 GMT (the same time as in Lisbon).
In his message, Trump added that negotiations would continue “throughout the week.”
However, he did not provide further details about the diplomatic talks, and Iran has not yet mentioned any such discussions between the two countries.
