The United States stated on Wednesday that it had sunk an Iranian warship through a torpedo attack launched by an American submarine, in an operation that allegedly took place in international waters in the Indian Ocean.
The information was advanced by the US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, who stated that “an American submarine sank an Iranian warship that thought it was safe in international waters.”
