The show, originally scheduled for November 21 at the Macau Outdoor Performance Venue, was part of the group’s “Black Eyed Peas Macau 2025” event and had been expected to draw thousands of fans from across the region.
The show promoters, Sanmuk Entertainment, said in a statement published last Friday that the decision said the decision was made after “careful consideration” and expressed regret to fans who had been awaiting the performance.
All tickets will be fully refunded, with details available through official ticketing platforms. “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank fans for their understanding and support,” organizers said in a statement.
The cancellation comes as Macau continues to expand its live entertainment offerings to diversify beyond its casino-driven economy. The city has hosted a growing number of international acts in recent years, including K-pop stars and major Western performers, as part of efforts to position itself as a cultural hub in southern China.
The Black Eyed Peas, known for global hits such as Where Is the Love? and I Gotta Feeling, last performed in Asia in 2023, drawing large crowds in Manila and Tokyo. The Macau concert was to be their first appearance in the territory.
Organizers said they hope to reschedule future performances in the region, underscoring the city’s ambition to remain a destination for international music tours.
