The White House began demolition of part of the East Wing, the First Lady’s base of operations, on Monday, October 20th. Images show parts of the gutted building, collapsed walls, and rubble. The goal is to build what Donald Trump says will be “the most beautiful ballroom in the country.”
The project is estimated at $250 million (approximately €215 million), despite the lack of approval from the federal agency that oversees such projects.
