Organised by Sands China Ltd. and presented by Fever in collaboration with Proactiv Entertainment, “Disney The Magic Box” makes its China debut at The Venetian Macao’s Theatre.
Audiences can enjoy 10 shows on July 12–13 and July 18–20, 2025, with performances at 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available via Cotai Ticketing, Macau Ticket, and Damai.
Artistic Highlights & Family Appeal
Following successful runs in Buenos Aires, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Abu Dhabi, and Doha, the 90-minute musical follows the character Mara as she journeys into a magic box filled with over 75 classic Disney songs—such as “Circle of Life,” “A Whole New World,” “Let It Go,” “I Am Moana,” and “Zero to Hero”—all performed by a live orchestra. Combining puppetry, choreography, innovative theatrical techniques, and stunning visuals, the production promises a family-friendly summer experience.
Festival Context & Cultural Collaboration
“Disney The Magic Box” headlines the 2nd Macao International Children’s Arts Festival, under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, co-organised by Sands China Ltd. and supported by multiple entities.
The festival runs July–August 2025 and features performing arts, music camps, film screenings, book corners, creative workshops, and large-scale outdoor installations.
Strategic Performing Arts Initiative
Bringing “Disney The Magic Box” to Macao is an initiative of the Sands China Performing Arts Programme. Launched in 2023, it aims to enrich Macao’s cultural landscape by introducing premier national and international productions.
Aligned with the Macao SAR Government’s vision, the programme leverages the city’s tourism platform to enhance its reputation as both a City of Performing Arts and a Culture City of East Asia.
