Social network X could introduce a monthly fee for all users, its owner Elon Musk admitted on Monday, stressing the need to reduce the use of bots.
The tech tycoon has made several changes since taking control of the site for 44 billion dollars in October last year, when it was still known as Twitter.
Musk fired thousands of employees, introduced a paid premium option, cut content moderation and reinstated previously banned accounts, including that of former US President Donald Trump.
The tycoon said that, in July, the platform had lost around half of its advertising revenue.
