Building a strong nation is inseparable from ensuring the stability and prosperity of Macau and Hong Kong, said Xi Jinping in his closing speech at the National People’s Congress session. “Promoting the building of a strong country is an inseparable goal for the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao,” Xi Jinping said in his closing speech at the annual session of the National People’s Assembly (NPA), which ended in Beijing yesterday.
In the first speech of his third term as President of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Xi pledged unconditional support for the economic development of Macau and Hong Kong and called for the integration of the special administrative regions into the overall development of the nation.
