Preventively detained since Friday, Dani Alves asked on Sunday to give a new statement to the judge in charge of the case, after having already given three different versions about his relationship with the young woman who accuses him of having raped her in a bathroom in a club in Barcelona at the end of December.
From Brazil, the 39-year-old player’s family was dissatisfied with the lawyer representing him, Miraida Puente Wislon, implying that she will be replaced. “We are powerless in the face of this situation. I believe that the lawyer is not doing her job well”, said Ney Alves, Dani’s brother, to the “Fiesta” program on the Telecinco channel.
Júnior Alves, the other brother of the right-back, was unhappy with the way the case is going: “I can’t take it anymore, they’ve crossed the line. It is forbidden to visit it. I don’t know what else I can do. If necessary, we will give our lives to get him out of this hell”.
