Transactions have been in decline for four years, and last year the lowest value of the last four decades was reached. July and August were the worst months for the market.
Last year, the lowest value of housing transactions in the territory since 1984 was recorded. According to data provided by the Directorate of Finance Services (DSF) in 2022, 2,950 properties were transferred.
Compared to 1984, the year with the worst record in official statistics from the Directorate of Statistics and Censuses (DSEC), last year there were 540 fewer housing transactions, compared to a total of 3,490 transactions in 1984.
