Cryptocurrency tycoon Sam Bankman-Fried was arrested this Monday in the Bahamas at the request of the US, according to US government officials, who intend to charge him after the collapse of the FTX platform, of which he was CEO and founder.
“Earlier this evening, Bahamian authorities arrested Samuel Bankman-Fried at the request of the US government, based on an indictment filed by the Southern District of New York,” the district attorney general said on Twitter.
