The country has eradicated extreme poverty and built the largest education, social security and healthcare systems in the world. However, there are many challenges that China faces in a phase of uncertainty and transformation.

The country has entered a period of development in which opportunities, risks and strategic challenges are simultaneous, and uncertainties and unforeseen factors increase, Xi said in the report to Congress.

“We must ensure that our centenary party becomes more and more vigorous through self-reform and that it remains the strong backbone on which the Chinese people lean at all times,” he said.

“We will work with the people of all other countries to uphold the common values ​​of humanity, such as peace, development, justice, equality, democracy and freedom to safeguard global peace, promote global development and continue to promote community building. human being with a shared future”, he pointed out.
