The DART test (Double Asteroid Redirection Test, in Portuguese) will be carried out this Tuesday and aims to evaluate the ability to change the asteroid’s trajectory.
The spacecraft that will hit the small celestial body at about 22,500 kilometers / hour was launched in November last year in California.
The agency considers it important to carry out experiments to save humanity of this nature, before there is a real need to do so.
