The death of Queen Elizabeth II caused mourning, sadness and should make us think about what we really want to know and hear from our people before their last goodbye. And so that there are no doubts, regrets or thoughts about what you didn’t do, say or hear from that person, don’t wait for tomorrow to have this conversation.
Start by telling people how much they mean to you, as counselor Jennifer Kowalski recommends. “This is the biggest regret I hear from people,” explained the expert.
What are the person’s ultimate desires? Try to understand what the family member wants after death, what kind of ceremony and everything related to the logistics of the event.
If you’re talking to someone with whom you’ve always had a troubled relationship, make up. Talk about what happens and come to an understanding, said doctor Janette Rodriguez.
