At least 343 children died following the Russian invasion

The invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces has led to the deaths of at least 343 children across the country and 635 have suffered various injuries, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office quoted by Ukrinform news agency said. Figures do not yet include the two minors killed in an attack in Odessa on Friday

“More than 978 children in Ukraine have been affected following the large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation. According to official information, 343 children were killed and 635 were injured,” indicates the report released today by Kiev judicial authorities.

Most of the victims (dead and wounded) are from the Donetsk region in the east of the country, where 339 are counted, and from Kharkiv, which includes the country’s second city, where the attacks affected 185 minors.

In Kiev there are so far 116 victims; in Chernigov 68; Lugansk (east) 61; in the Mykolaiv region (south) 53; in the areas occupied by Russian forces in Kherson 52 and in Zaporiyia 31 victims.
