Three days after turning 60, Argentine star Diego Armando Maradona was admitted to a clinic on Monday (2) in La Plata, capital of the province of Buenos Aires
According to the daily Olé, from Argentina, journalist and friend of Maradona Daniel Arcucci confirmed that the Argentine idol suffers from anemia. The possibility of Covid-19 is ruled out, as the former player performed tests that would have been negative.
Maradona’s last public appearance was on Friday, his birthday, when the team he leads, Gimnasia y Esgrima, beat Patronato by 3 to 0, in the opening round of the Professional League Cup, a championship that will give a place in the Libertadores 2021 and another at the 2022 South American Cup.
