Judge Luís Roberto Barroso, from the STF (Supreme Federal Court), determined the removal for 90 days of senator Chico Rodrigues (DEM-RR), caught with money in his underwear in a search and seizure operation this Wednesday (14).

On Thursday (15), Barroso sent the case for deliberation of the Senate, who is responsible for maintaining or not the removal of the parliamentarian, who was deputy leader of the Jair Bolsonaro government in the House and was exonerated from the post.

According to information from the Federal Police sent to the Supreme Court, the parliamentarian hid R$ 33.150 in his underwear. Of this total, R$ 15,000 in cash were between the buttocks.

In the order, the judge pointed out the “concrete gravity” of the case, which, according to him, requires the removal of the parliamentarian in order to prevent Rodrigues from using the position to hinder investigations.
