The number of visitors arriving in Macau via Zhuhai rose by 50 percent in the first hours of the entry into force of the measure that will facilitate circulation at the borders with Guangdong province.
According to Law Tak Fai, of the Public Security Police (PSP), between 6 am and 4 pm, there were 1600 visitors who crossed one of the four border posts with connection to the neighboring city.
Since 6 am yesterday, those who arrived from Guangdong province only have to present proof they tested negative for COVID-19 – instead of being obliged to comply with a 14-day quarantine.
