Taiwanese authorities urge residents not to travel to Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China

Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council has urged Taiwanese to avoid travel to Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China after national security legislation was enacted.

On July 1 national security legislation was enforced in Hong Kong with Chinese authorities bypassing local executive and legislative branches to enact a law it deems necessary to put a halt on the large scale protests seen in the SAR during much of 2019.
