The country still has 48,427 dead, according to a survey carried out with health departments
This Friday (19), Brazil surpassed the mark of 1 million confirmed cases of Covid-19. As of 2 pm, 1,009,699 people had contracted the disease in the country according to official records – the number is probably multiple times greater, given the evidence of underreporting.
There have been 26,340 new registrations since 8pm on Thursday (18). Problems in the Ministry of Health platform where municipalities report confirmed cases had generated problems in the accounting of records in recent days, which inflated the balance of this Friday.
