Head of State warned that if Portugal continues to have “infected peaks” it could lead other countries to “formulate judgments that do not correspond to what has been achieved”.
The President of the Republic reiterated today the appeal to the population not to go “from 8 to 80” in the measures to prevent covid-19, warning about the risks of the country’s image “inside and outside”.
Speaking to journalists after participating in a religious celebration at the Lisbon Mosque, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa again addressed a special appeal to young people to think that “one third of the Portuguese population is at risk”, among them elderly people or people with health problems.
