The preservation of the history and tradition of a specific people is a major factor for the conservation of their cultural identity, and, in this regard, museums play an important role. That’s the case of the Regional Museum of the Dundo

Located in the province of Lunda-Norte (Northeast of Angola), the Regional Museum of the Dundo has stood out in the conservation of cultural heritage, documentation, historical and specific research of the Lunda Côkwe people, constituting one of the main attractions of tourists.

In 2019, it received 30 thousand visitors, 200 of wich were foreigners, whereas in the previous year, 2018, it registered only 10 thousand, 60 from other countries.
