Organised by the Charity Association of Macau Business Readers, the 2025 event brings together 147 participants from 17 countries, including 41 golfers with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. The competition continues to prioritise access to sport for individuals with diverse abilities, particularly those with intellectual disabilities.

The opening programme included a Lion Dance performance and golf clinics for local residents, including participants from community-based NGOs. The clinics aimed to introduce the fundamentals of golf and promote broader access to the sport.

The tournament features two formats: a 9-hole Team Competition and an 18-hole Individual Stroke Play. Athletes include representatives from Special Olympics delegations, Paralympic teams, and current and former players from the G4D (Golf for the Disabled) Tour.

The first two days focus on the Masters Competitions, using formats aligned with Special Olympics rules. The final day features a team event that pairs corporate participants with golfers from the World League and top qualifiers from the Challenger League.

“The 10th anniversary of the Macau Golf Masters is more than a milestone—it’s a movement,” said tournament director Stefan Kuehn. “This week we celebrate not only excellence in golf but the power of diversity, the joy of team spirit, and the importance of visibility for athletes of all abilities.” The tournament continues over the next two days, with a focus on competition, inclusion, and international participation.
